"Orahovica" or walnut brandy from Croatia

Is alcoholic drink and it is not for sure whether it is a medicine, a great digestive or even greater drink for connoisseurs. The following recipe is the proven one, the best I ever tasted and in opinion of many that tried the final result, the ultimate one. This is the recipe from Mr. Miro Juretić  from Solin (Majdan) near Split - Croatia.

Use the best grape brandy you can get, and for each liter of grape brandy you will need:

•  12-13 small (grape size) or 8-9 bigger (prune size) whole green walnuts , carved with knife or crushed with a stone
• 1 whole untreated lemon, quartered
• 1 vanilla pods, halved
• 200g white sugar
• 10 toasted coffee grains (espresso kind is the best)
• 10 dried cloves

Mix all ingredients in a glass jar and leave exposed to sun for 40 days. 

Filter and pour in the bottles. End result is black non transparent drink that will heal every (OK, OK the most of) your stomach ache, and will taste as ...

It is so simple to make and so rewarding, that you just have to tray it yourself.
